Bassnectar’s FREESTYLE SESSIONS at 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, CO!

When I was 8 years old I was chubby. As a kid, my parents tried putting me in lots of different sporting activities growing up to promote health and an active lifestyle. I was in DANCE from ages 3-5. I learned to RIDE a bike, and did Tang Soo Do (Korean Martial Arts) from 7-8. Tried a few seasons of Soccer at 8-9. But did not find MY TRUE LOVE until the summer of my 8th year of life when I jumped into the pool and started competitive swimming. I have hypermobility in my shoulders that allows an advantage at what most people consider the “hardest” stroke THE BUTTERFLY. I used to swim many FREESTYLE SESSIONS day after day in the pool training for swim meets. I quit swimming competitively my sophomore year in high school because my swimming coach was an asshole and a pervert. It broke my heart and I haven’t swum every day since. I miss the water. When I dropped out of swimming I was placed by my school into a class that landed me in a school club called Future Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA for short). I did not know it then but dropping off the swim team and joining FCCLA would ultimately help me land a scholarship to Johnson & Wales University – Denver and a degree in Entertainment & Event Management. The moral of this story: Sometimes in life letting go of the things we love is necessary for progress and evolution. So my dear Butterfly Mermaid friends, join me this July 7-9 and let’s FLY FREE through the magic of Bassnectar sounds together at the 1st Bank Center. From where I live right now I can ride my bike to the 1st Bank Center.

RIDE. DANCE. FLY. SWIM THROUGH SOUND. BASSNECTAR FREESTYLE SESSIONS!
