Got my first package of promo in the mail today from Envision Festival! Let me know if you would like one of the awesome stickers they sent me (pictured below). I was accepted to the Street Team this year and I am so grateful to be heading back to Costa Rica this February 22-25th for the 8th annual Envision. The 1st wave lineup was recently released and features some of my personal favorite internationally renowned musicians, yoga instructors, performance artist, and workshop speakers.
My top 7 picks from the lineup so far: Bob Moses, who I got to see in August in an intimate setting at Deep Tropics and really loved. Clozee, who has quickly become my favorite #FemaleProducer in the world. Stephen Brooks, who is the man with the plan when it comes to all thing Eco or sustainability-related at Envision. Random Rab, who I hope to see for yet another mystical jungle sunrise. Gina Caputo, who is the “yogini on the loose” from Colorado that I have yet to get to practice Yoga with. DJ Dragonfly, who totally rocked my world with THIS SET at Envision 2017. AND Patterns, my “wildcard” synth pop Costa Rican trio that I have this sneaking suspicion just might rock my world.
I fell in love with Costa Rica on my first ever 15-day trip there last February with my boyfriend Kevin. I had never been there before and I am 1/8th Costa Rican and Kevin is 1/2 Costa Rican so when I heard him mention that he was planning a trip there I decided last minute to go.
The trip started with an adventurous 5 days in San José, visiting Kevin’s family and enjoying the Barceló San José. On Friday, we headed to Jacó to for the weekend to experience Bamboo Bass Festival. This smaller festival the weekend before was pretty inexpensive and was really fun for us as we are huge bassheads. The Monday after Bamboo we drove down Costa Rica’s beautiful west coastline to Uvita where we stayed at the magical Cheeky Monkey Headquarters, a total score of an Airbnb we rented last minute a short 6 min drive into town from the Envision site. The following week I Interned in the Hospitality department at the festival. Read my prior related blog post about my experience at Envision 2017: “The 7 Lucky Things I learned as an Envision 2017 Intern.”
While I learned so much and loved my incredible experience as an intern in the Hospitality department in 2017, I left the festival feeling the need for less work and more play time on the beach. So this year I am “stepping back” from a hands-on work role in order to really experience the festival as an attendee. I am excited to earn my ticket BEFORE the festival starts so that I may FLY FREE in 2018. I am looking forward to going with the flow and really being able to immerse myself in the experience.
In 2017 I fell in love with my twin flame (Kevin) in the birthplace of our ancestors.
In 2018 I will SWIM MORE! DANCE MORE! PLAY MORE! & LET ENVISION FESTIVAL ROOT ME DOWN & TRANSFORM ME.
ARE YOU READY FOR THE FESTIVAL EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME??? MEET ME ON THE BEACH!
