Riding The Wave and Holding it All: Grief, Grace & Creative Becoming 🌊✨

Dear Creative Community,

As we move through the Strawberry Moon and settle into the heart of summer, I’ve been sitting (oceanside with a fruity beverage) with a lot of contrast.

There is a particular intensity to this moment in time, like the world is speaking in multiple linguistic frequencies at once.

On one channel, there is deep grief, uncertainty, and global heaviness that most of us are witnessing in real time. It’s impossible to be alive right now and not feel the weight of what humanity is moving through.

On another channel, there is something else entirely. Deeply Soulful Beauty. Unconditional Love. Grace. Connection. Creativity that continues to insist on itself anyway.

I find myself held in the liminal space between those two realities.

In the middle of all of that, I’ve also been watching my own life unfold in ways I couldn’t have scripted.

A few weeks after sharing a simple post about the importance of having multiple streams of income, I stepped into what feels like a deeply aligned opportunity one that weaves together so many threads of my past work: sales, marketing, travel, community, and creative storytelling.

Every late night working, every conversation, every behind-the-scenes moment supporting teams around the world, every piece of creative content, every risk taken to show up and say yes has become part of a larger cosmic pattern that is still unfolding. Writing a reality of the present moment in real time.

I’ve been reflecting on something I don’t often say directly, but feel deeply as someone who has spent years in and around festival and event production:

There is an invisible level of care it takes to hold large gatherings together. Most people only ever see the surface: the music, art, celebration.

Underneath that are teams of humans carrying enormous responsibility, coordination, pressure, and devotion to create something safe, meaningful, and alive.

When unexpected tragedy touches those spaces, it ripples through entire ecosystems of people who were simply trying to bring others together in joy.

My heart is with everyone who ever finds themselves in that position: organizers, crews, artists, responders, and communities holding complexity in real time.

Lately, the headlines have been a LOUD AF reminder of how delicate these containers really are. Spirit has been speaking to me about just how much intention it really takes to hold them well, and how even if you do everything "right" as a leader, you can never predict the outcomes of events that may unfold.

It also makes the moments of everything going right feel even more sacred.

If you are building something, creating something, or holding something together for your community, I see you. I’m grateful for you because this work is not individual. It never has been. It’s relational. It’s collective.
